What: The Carnivale LJ Hooker Art Competition brings 9,623 Primary Schools from around the country together into this unique junior school art competitions.
Art teachers from around the country are encouraged to enter their primary school students into the competition as all state finalists will have a tree planted in their name
in Far North Queensland! The National winner will receive a holiday package for them and their family to Port Douglas. The holiday prize includes 7 nights accommodation at
Hibiscus Resort & Spa, transfers and fantastic tours! (Does not
include airfares).
The theme of the LJ Hooker Art Competition will be the ‘Global Warming and our Precious Reef and Rainforest’ with a view to raising awareness of the unique and fragile flora and fauna such as those in the Daintree Rainforest contain. Each school will be emailed the competition details and can print out the entry forms and decorate them for a chance to win one of the great prizes on offer. Art teachers will choose the winning entry from each school, which they will then upload on to the web site display board. This initiative is backed by the Department of Environment and Heritage and proudly partnered by NAB.
