What:
Players will tackle "The Reef Shark Classic" in a game of No Limit Texas Hold
’em. Top 10 from each day go into the Final on Monday evening. |
Trained pit bosses will supervise a playing area encompassing tables surrounded by a large public viewing space.
Local comedian and Poker aficionado, ‘The Gusman’ will MC the day. Players who are unfortunate enough to be eliminated in
the early rounds will have the opportunity to play the next day;
the final one hundred players in the Reef Shark
Classic will battle it out at the Central Hotel for
first and second prize on the evening of the 1st of
June.
First prize is
entry in to the inaugural Poker Stars
ANZPT tournament (Australia New Zealand Poker Tour)
plus $1,000
contribution to flights, accommodation and expenses.
Second prize is a trip for 2 to the Tinian Dynasty Hotel and Casino in the Northern Mariana Islands, including entry into the "Can You Weather the Storm" Poker Event scheduled for August 30 and 31, 2008. The prize package includes 5 nights deluxe accommodation at the Tinean Dynasty including daily breakfast, airfares from Cairns and hotel transfers.
