Ahoy, history lovers. Step back in time at the Maritime Antiques Roadshow, a special Carnivale event hosted by the Low Isles Preservation Society (LIPS) in partnership with the Queensland Museum.
LIPS is inviting members of the Douglas Shire community to bring along maritime artefacts, documents and relics for identification, documentation and storytelling. Whether it’s an old logbook, ship lantern, or sea-worn navigational tool, every item has a story. Come along, explore fascinating relics already gathered and help preserve the seafaring stories of the past.
IMPORTANT UPDATE!!
the Maritime Antiques Roadshow has been moved from the CWA hall to the Port Douglas Community Hall, where the photography exhibition is.
This event will be open from 9:30am to 3:30 pm on Saturday and 9:30am until 1:00 pm on Sunday.
