Following on from the successful concept established over the last 4 years, we will set 1 long table along the waterfront side of Rex Smeal Park. The table area will be covered by a long marquee to provide shade or cover in case of a light drizzle. Lawn games are laid out for some social activities.
This year doors open at 12.30pm and the event goes through until 5.30pm – providing a seamless transition to walk into town for the famous Carnivale street parade.
Entertainment will be provided by Spiegeltent performers and artists to cross promote the Carnivale. DJ Bart will spin the tunes, Wolf Lane Distillery will be host a gin tasting and our bar staff will be serving cocktails.
Tables decorated by Succuliving and formally set to provide a high-quality event befitting the destination and reputation of Port Douglas. Food and Beverage, which is most the most important aspect would be conceptually similar to previous years, featuring fresh local produce, friendly service and quality beverage’s. This year with support from Robert Oatley Wines, Beer from Cairns based Great Barrier Reef Brewing Co.
