Bee Concerned
Tim Ellis, Video Projection, 2024
Thursday 23 to Sunday 26 May, 6-9pm
Bee Concerned is a projection installation created by the artist, Tim Ellis, for Carnivale and presented at the Saltwater building on Macrossan Street from 23 to 26 May, 6pm to 9pm.
Highlighting the importance of bees within the microcosm of our planet, and their significant contribution to our well-being, the declining population of bees, due to pesticides, fertilisers and the effects of climate change, should be of concern to all of us.
Tim has presented his work at the Carnivale over the last few years with the Sugar Ants projection on the Sugar Wharf in 2022 and with his popular solo exhibition in 2021. Be sure to catch his latest project on Macrossan Street during the Carnivale.
This project was made possible by the Australian Government’s Regional Arts Fund, provided through Regional Arts Australia, administered in Queensland by Flying Arts Alliance.
Tim will also have a pop-up exhibition in the shop unit next to the projection installation. It too will be on 6pm to 8pm Thursday 23-Sunday 26.
